Privacy Policy

Zodiac Almanac is a static reference site. We collect as little as we can, and this page says exactly what.

What we collect

• No accounts. The site has no sign-up and no login.
• Birth details in calculators. When calculator tools are available, the date, time and place you enter are processed in your browser to produce the reading. They are not sent to our servers and are not stored by us.
• Paid reports. If you buy a report, our payment processor collects the email address and payment details needed to complete the purchase under its own privacy policy; we receive your email address and the details you entered for the report so we can generate and deliver it. We keep report inputs only as long as needed to deliver the report and handle refunds, and we do not use them for marketing.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, page requested) for security and capacity purposes.

Email subscription

If you ask us to email you a zodiac PDF, we store your email address, the sign you chose, the page you signed up from, the time of consent and a salted hash of your IP address (never the address itself). We use double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the link in the confirmation email, and unconfirmed addresses are deleted automatically after 48 hours. Frequency: one email a month (next month's auspicious dates and the solar terms) plus a small number of seasonal notices around Chinese New Year. We never sell or share the list, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately; after you unsubscribe we keep only the record that this address opted out, so it is not added again by mistake. Cookies, advertising and analytics

The site does not set cookies of its own and does not run analytics scripts.

Third-party advertising. Some content pages carry advertising from Google AdSense and Adsterra (display and native banners only — no pop-ups or pop-unders). These providers, and their partners, may set and read cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and prevent fraud. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites; you can turn personalised advertising off at adssettings.google.com and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Other vendors' cookies can be refused at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu. Where the law of your region requires consent (for example the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), personalised ads are shown only after you agree; otherwise ads are limited or non-personalised. Ads are never placed on checkout, report or tool-result pages, and we do not pass your birth details or email address to any advertiser.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the processors needed to run the site (hosting, payments, email delivery), each bound by its own privacy terms.

Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar laws)

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to processing. Because we store so little, most requests will be answered by confirming that we hold nothing beyond a purchase record, which we must keep for accounting. Write to hello@zodiacalmanac.com.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top changes when we do.
